Healthy Schools

Uniform

We feel that it is important that Seathorne children look smart. Dressing appropriately is important and encourages a positive attitude to work.

Our uniform encourages children to take a pride in their appearance and helps foster a sense of school identity - and at home it can also save arguments about what your child may want to wear to school.

Buying uniform

We do not supply our school uniform directly, but you can purchase from Tesco online (5% of sales on all products bought from this web page goes directly back to the school) and Nationwide Uniforms in Spilsby. Seathorne School has a £5 e-coupon that can be redeemed against purchases of £25 or more from Tescos.  Just collect one from the school office.

Please contact us if you are genuinely having any difficulties purchasing the appropriate uniform for your child due to financial reasons. Where necessary we will always look into helping you meet the school uniform requirements.

Hair

Long hair should be tied back and any extremes of hairstyles (including colour) are not permitted. Hair bobbles should be green where possible.

Jewellery

Children should not wear jewellery at school. Children with pierced ears are allowed to wear studs, but these should be covered or removed for P.E. and removed for swimming. Wristwatches are acceptable.

Make up and Cosmetics

Make up and cosmetics are not considered appropriate or consistent with our school uniform. The school does not permit such products to be worn by any children this includes temporary tattoos and nail varnish unless there is a specific event for which the Head has given permission.

Lost property

In order to return lost property, all uniform and personal items should be clearly marked with your child's name.

Early Years Requirements

It is important for the promotion of social independence that the younger children are able to manage their own clothes and shoes (no laces). This should be considered when purchasing school uniform.
